Helping Children Thrive
Anfaani Orphanage
Our first project was the adoption and partnership with an orphanage in the a town called Tamale, based in the northern part of Ghana. This orphanage is a fairly small orphanage that has been in existence for almost 30 years. HCT has adopted Anfaani and committed to providing all necessary supplies required for the daily upkeep of the orphanage. To date, we have been able to send multiple shipments of books, food supplies, play material and other items to the orphanage. Nothing warms the heart more than to see pictures of the children happily playing on their new toys and knowing they have food to eat and books to help develop their reading skills.
The Potter's Village
Potter's Village is a thriving charity established in Ghana to provide home care and educational support for orphans and children in need. They also offer counseling to assist abused children in overcoming any emotional, psychological, and social challenges. HCT sponsors Potter's Village by sending various educational supplies and clothing items to support their efforts. We also lead groups of volunteers to Ghana to help with their summer camp activities. We intend to grow our support through Sponsor-a-Child programs in collaboration with The Potter's Village.
